About my paintings

I add idioms, such ones that previously, for different purposes have been used in ”modernistic painting”.

My intention is to dislodge a previous meaning, to make the contemporary possible.

The idioms that are used in my paintings, I want to be comprehended as relating, reality constructing, or self-referential rather than reality representational.

The paintings consist of code peaces, linguistic fragments, rhythmical repetitions and so on.

Associations to the representational are contrasted with the non representational.

I am not trying to abandon the image of painting. Instead I use them in a sort of visual ”sampling”.

My intentions with the paintings are that they, with their physical presence and tangibleness, opens up the possibility to apprehend the non verbal on a metaphysical level.
